Capture Card Transfer

Post by Joeypals » Wed Feb 03, 2021 8:57 am

Hey! My name's Joey, been a minute since I got the capture card. Performance-wise the Capture Card's been working flawlessly since the last time I sent it in (2016? I think? That or 2015), my issue is with the 3DS itself, specifically with the touch screen. In short, the calibration on the touch screen is getting very wonky, with several deadzones forming. I was curious as to whether it'd be possible to transfer the capture card onto a different original 3DS model/how I'd go about doing that, or if there was a way to fix the touch screen. Best regards!

EDIT: Updating this with when I first bought the capture card (May 16 2016) and the transaction ID: 6AK02153VK2904337

EDIT2: Deciding to buy a second 3DS and capture card, an answer to this so I may potentially solve this issue in the future would be appreciated though.

Replacing the touch screen (digitizer) will be a lot cheaper than a new 3ds and not terribly difficult to do on your own. You can probably find a guide online somewhere. You can pick up replacement parts on ebay.
