Touch Screen Doesn’t Respond
Touch Screen Doesn’t Respond
I have recently installed the capture card into my New 3DS XL and everything works well, except for the bottom screen. I don’t seem to know why, but the touch screen will not receive any input whenever I try to use it. The buttons work fine, so it seems like it is the only problem. I tried loosing the back panel, to relieve pressure, but it did not work. Does anyone know what could be the problem?

Re: Touch Screen Doesn’t Respond
I'm having the exact same issue. I've reseated everything multiple times with no luck. One thing I have NOT tried, as I'm still in the process of installation, but have you tried recalibrating the touch screen? You can do it through the settings.
Re: Touch Screen Doesn’t Respond
I’m not sure about that, as I recall, in order to recalibrate the touch screen you would need to go to the settings app and use the touch screen to access the options below.
Re: Touch Screen Doesn’t Respond
Those small flex cables can crack when they're bent, maybe that's what happened?
Re: Touch Screen Doesn’t Respond
Maybe, but correct if I’m wrong, wouldn’t the touch screen not turn on in the first place?
Re: Touch Screen Doesn’t Respond
No. The digitizer uses a separate cable.

Well that’s interesting, would it possible for me to send it you and check it out?
Re: Touch Screen Doesn’t Respond
I'll take a look at it if you want to send it in.
Re: Touch Screen Doesn’t Respond
That would be great, thank you very much.
What do I need to do to send it in and get it back safely? Would you need a note or my email?

Re: Touch Screen Doesn’t Respond
Yes, include a note with your 3DS. Any relevant info you think I should know. At least,
- what's wrong with it
- a return address
- email
