N3DS XL saying not connected

Hi Loopy,
I bought the new 3ds xl capture card and it has been working great last year. Until recently I've decided to buy a laptop in order to capture the gameplay while I go away for vacation. Once I connected the 3ds to my laptop (win11), I hear the Windows sound when I connect but the 3ds software says not connected. I downloaded the drivers and there aren't any DLL errors. I also tried multiple different cables and still nothing. So I went to my desktop (win 10) to make sure it still works there because the day before I got the laptop everything was working fine. And now I am having the same problem on my desktop that I am having on my laptop. I checked my device manager and everything there seems to check out. Not sure what to do from here, if there's something I can do on my end or do I need to send it in for a repair?

It sounds like maybe the configuration got lost? Same thing that happened here.
I'm not sure how, that's not supposed to happen accidentally like that.

Run this. Hold Shift when you plug the 3DS in. It should detect an unconfigured device and reprogram it.

Thats what I was thinking, I ran the program and held shift while plugging in the 3ds but still nothing.

Open the debug console (push F12) and reconnect the 3DS, see what it prints out.
I'm not sure what's happening. If you give up and want to send it in, I'll take a look at it.

Hmm.
That looks like a firmware problem to me, it may need to be sent back and reflashed.
