Issues with Lag

Post by Joeyboy » Sun Aug 25, 2013 5:42 pm

Just picked up my capture card and its great, but when I begin recording I notice a slight drop in framerate. Is there any way to potentially right this small problem? Would it be advised to maybe just uninstall certain programs from my computer to "revitalize it"?

Also is there a recommended headset or anything like that that you guys use to capture sound.

Perhaps its the computer you're using? If not that, it might be your selected codec.

How much is a "slight drop"?

Is there a way to get a number for you? I dunno, its a noticeable frame rate drop from when its not recording to when it is recording.

So when I open the DualCapture its 1 to 1, but when I hit record theres a little lag to the action. Hope that clears stuff up. Just wondering if theres any thing I can do that may reduce said lag. Even small things

The codec you're using can make a big difference.

Ah, this is for Mac? I don't think I can help you, I haven't used that software much.
