issue with usb connector

i received my 3ds earlier today and when i connect the usb to the capture board, it doesn't instantly show the video output. i have to move the usb cable around a bit to get the video output to show, but if i move it again it tends to disconnect. my laptop recognizes when the cable is connected or disconnected but it'll easily disconnect and black out if it moves. does this have to do with the usb cable or the connector on the board itself?

This is the connector on the board coming loose, loopy can fix this for you.
