Should I remove the skin before sending the 3DS in to loopy?

Have a custom full body skin I installed on my 3DS a long time ago. I'm guessing I need to remove it before having the capture board installed?

As long as it doesn't get in the way, it shouldn't be a problem. I need to be able to unscrew the back cover and open up the 3DS.
