and install with this instructions: http://www.sfml-dev.org/tutorials/2.2/start-osx.php Once you do that it works flawless.
That package is targeted to developers so I'm not sure that you need to fully install it. Probably the end user may only need to install the files which go into /Library/Frameworks (I'm very sure that you don't need the Xcode templates or the includes).
