Battery won't charge

I'm sorry to post this here, as it is not related to the capture card at all.

Please chastise me as appropriate if I have violated some code of conduct

My battery is not charging in my XL (my other 3ds is the one with a card...which works wonderfully btw)

I have checked the fuses and they are fine but the unit still does not charge. The light comes on but the battery is not charging. I've placed the battery in a different unit and it charges up. With the charged battery in the unit everything runs fine. It simply does not charge.

Any tips would be wonderful

Sorry, I don't know. I've seen only one other 3DS with that problem but couldn't fix it. All I can suggest is to look over the board for physical damage. Something shorted on the board, or burnt / broken components.
