Sparks when I connect the MicroUSB cable

Hi. I'm scared because when I try connect today the cable to the 3DS Capture Board, I see some sparks and a bit smoke. It's working for the moment, but it's the first time that this happen to me and I don't know if it's better don't use it for the moment.

Smoke? Are you sure? It sounds like ESD. I'd say any damage would have happened immediately. Since it's working for you now, it's probably fine.

I see a bit smoke, but after a second disappear. If you think was ESD (Electro-Static Discharge?) and it's fine, I'm feel good. Thanks for reply
