3DS Automatically Disconnects
Title. I've used multiple cords but it disconnects within 30 seconds each time. My 3DS fell on the ground earlier today, so I wouldn't be surprised if that messed up something.
Re: 3DS Automatically Disconnects
Take the back off and make sure the ribbon cable isn't loose would be my first suggestion.

I just unscrewed the back and nothing seems too fishy. How would you describe a "loose" ribbon cable? Like how much would it be able to move around?
Re: 3DS Automatically Disconnects
Honestly, any bit of looseness could disconnect it. Just make sure it's in all the way (the two tabs should be all the way against the input part) then make sure the "lock" is flipped down.
Edit: Ignore the second part. Forgot you said you tried different cables.

Re: 3DS Automatically Disconnects
The board is able to be moved back and forth as the ribbon cable moves wit it. Is that what the problem is?
Re: 3DS Automatically Disconnects
Shouldn't be. It's normally held in place by the back plate when that's on.
Was it plugged into the computer when it was dropped?

Re: 3DS Automatically Disconnects
By disconnect, do you mean the USB connection is lost (Windows makes the disconnect sound)? Or does the screen just turn black? Does it work again if you reconnect the USB cable?

The computer still recognizes that my Cap Card is connected, but the capture program turns black.
