I sent in a DS earlier this week, and sorry if you've been asked this multiple times, but how long does it usually take altogether, the installation and then the send-off? The mail usually takes a couple days if it's within the country, so I can just add from there

So I sent my first Ds in on a Wednesday July 6 it got there Saturday. Because I did the 2-3 day shipping and it got there Saturday. I had it back the next Saturday. I also recently sent one out yesterday on a Wednesday as well should be there Saturday. Also I think it depends were you are in order.

Normally it takes only a day or two, but I got a massive pile of orders all at once that I'm working through. I'm about 2 weeks behind right now.

Thanks Loopy I received my capture kits today! (shipped on July 11th) the installation is easy for the flex cable but I had a little trouble with the usb port Image Image

Hey loopy! I got my DS in the mail today with the capture card installed, thanks a bunch!

I’ve been playing around with it and video output works great, but the audio output is kind of washed out. Is there a fix for that? I’m using a standard aux cable.

I'm not sure what you mean by washed out. It might just be a matter of adjusting recording levels. If it's picking up noise / static, using a ground loop isolator usually helps.

I’m not getting the full sound basically. Obvious bass is missing, including some percussion. It kind of sounds like the audio is being filtered out in some spots. I do hear some static but it’s pretty slight. Could that be causing the washed out audio?

I can’t get this good of audio with my setup. I guess it could be a crappy microphone port on my laptop or a bad aux cable?

Could be. A microphone port is made for ... well, microphones. If you want to use that laptop, it might be worth getting a USB Line In adapter.
