It's not a software thing. All of them technically do. There are labeled pads you need to solder to the charge port. Older boards just don't limit the current to the 3DS, but if you're using USB 3.0 ports, and keeping the battery full most of the time, it should be safe.

Oh I see. Loopy's old installation guide did not include to solder the labeled pads. But now his guide says so. So I'm confused if I should solder mine too. My capture card is dated 2022. Did you solder yours (or was it soldered by Loopy)? What's the date on your capture card?

Yeah, just follow the wiring as shown in the guide.

I do know that one of the changes was swapping the L and R audio channels, they are now correct.

I've had my capture card system back for about two weeks, and I've done a few quick test streams with it (and it works fantastic, thanks again, Loopy!!!), but the cable included is rather short and makes it hard to use the system while plugged in. Is this just a standard USB-C? Can I just use a longer cable when streaming?

Yes, it's a standard cable, any replacement should work.
