DS Slowly Losing Charge While Plugged In

I have a DS slowly losing charge while plugged in with the USB cable. Wire soldered to the PCB from the main board. I have replaced the battery on the DS, but it will continue to deplete. I am almost a hundred percent sure it wasn't losing charge on the official charge. Is there anything I can do for this?

Is the charging light on when you plug it in?

The charging light is on while it is plugged in. I'll take a few photos and share them with you. Sorry for the late reply.
