DIY Install problem

Post by 19XX » Sat Jul 16, 2022 12:09 am

Hi loopy, I recently received my two install kits I ordered! This first install went perfect and worked perfectly! The second install was installed the same way but has a slight red tent to the captured screen! I was just wondering if you had any ideas or suggestions how to fix! Thanks.

Is it a red tint, or is it black being replaced with red?

If it's the latter, I'm having the same issue with my first board I installed. Attached is an image of what it looks like on mine! I've sent an email to loopy and am patiently awaiting a response

Hey guys, I had this same issue with discoloration in the capture screen, so I re-soldered everything and it works perfectly now. I'd just go really slow and make sure all the pads are making a connection with the mainboard

Yeah. Unfortunately you have to resolder everything. I spent about an hour trying to find if it was a specific point with no success. So I just un did everything and it works fine.

Yeah, it's a soldering issue. I updated the software to check which colors are stuck, there's a comment at the end of the install guide about it.
