DS Capture Distorted Audio

I just modded my DS to put a Capture Card in and I went to test it out, and it seemed to work fine, but when I looked back at the footage I captured, it had HORRIBLY distorted and delayed audio, it would sound normal at first but then it would get LOUD and Distorted, I tried getting the Audio Only with Audacity, but the same thing happened there. I was using a standard 3.5mm Aux Cord and plugged it into the Mic I Jack on my PC Tower, can someone tell me what's happening and how to fix it?
