Question about "sold out" status

I see on the order page that the New 3DSXL boards that went up a couple days ago are sold out. At the time I wasn't sure if I would be able to get a console to send in, but I see that the purchase button is still active. Does this mean I can purchase a board, send in the system and then it just gets put in a "backlog" for whenever you make a new batch, or should I just wait until you have another batch of boards ready before I try to buy one?

best practice is to wait for another round. i also missed this round. just subscribe to the topic above and be ready when it pops.
