Question before sending in New 3DS

I had recently just purchased the capture board installation for the New 3DS XL but I had a question before I shipped it. The circle pad on the 3ds is broken, and I was wondering if I’d still be able to replace the circle pad after the board is installed or if I should replace the circle pad before shipping it to avoid damaging the board? Yes you can, but since you're already planning to do it, I'd recommend taking care of it beforehand.

Or if you already have a replacement part, you could send it in with the 3DS and I can do it.

OR I have a bunch of extras, if you don't already have one. (They're cheaper all-plastic ones though, not rubberized like the OEM sticks)
