SOLVED:N3DSXL-need to open up multiple 3ds_capture.exe windows to connect to my N3DSXL

I have to click and open multiple 3ds_capture.exe windows until it finally detects my N3DSXL capture card. Sometimes it doesn't find it at all while my N3DSXL is connected to my PC.

Everything works fine when it is connected and outputting video signal to my PC and my N3DSXL charges at the USB-C port. Has this happened to anyone before? Any thoughts on why this may be the issue?

Literally just happened to me. I read this and tried opening multiple capture windows and it finally worked.

Was it consistent for you? Sometimes it doesn't work at all opening up multiple windows for it to connect. I had to unplug and plug back in the USB-C port a few times to get it to work.

I usually have to open 3 of them before it'll show up for some reason.

MY PROBLEM SOLVED:

So I managed to get mine to work. Try reconnecting these and I would check continuity from the solder points to the tip of the ribbon to make sure nothing is torn at the tracers. reconnecting these ribbons help mine get a consistent connection without needing to open up multiple windows. Hope this helps for you.

I can't attach the other images because they're too large but check continuity on the small L shaped ribbon from solder points to the end of the ribbon and securely connect this ribbon cable to the capture card itself.

Actually, I don't think it has anything to do with the cables. There was a software/firmware issue that was making the initial connection fail. Reconnecting would (usually) take care of it. I made a change that should (maybe? hopefully?) fix it. See if it helps.
