New3ds capture kit update error 437

I keep getting this update notification and error when I boot the 5.2 exe
Everything is still working fine if I boot the 5.1 exe as it doesn't prompt me to update the device.
Has anyone run into this / found a work around?

Bumping.
I'm seeing other threads of people having issues with updates failing. Mine just won't attempt.
Can you write up a quick guide on how to manually update the capture board externally? I'd like to try manually updating mine with an external programmer if possible as I'm unable to use with n3ds on any of the newer versions.

What kind of programmer do you have? You'll need something that can write SPI flash (at 1.8V logic level)

I have quite a few.
Flashcat pro, stm32, usb blaster, tl566ii, top3000, and a couple more floating around here somewhere.
