3DS Capture Broken for 3rd time

The same issue has happened to me 3 times. This is the 2nd time in 6months too. Loopy I hope you see this and can tell me what I'm doing wrong.

Why does it keep breaking. Its not the wire I'm using. I've tested several. Just one day out of nowhere it will stop connecting to my computer. It just won't even acknowledge it anymore. If I listen careful I almost can hear this beep sound from the capture card.

I'm sending it back along with some money to repair it and I really hope I can get an answer to how to keep it from breaking again.

If it needs more than repair and totally replaced I'll do it. I just want this issue to be fixed hopefully.

Seems to be working fine for me, I don't see anything wrong with it.

Maybe get another cable?
Don't use a USB hub?
Test it on a different computer?

ok thats very frustrating to know it was just me. I'll test all of those suggestions.

I hope its not my computer. I use the hub cause I have other devices plugged in while streaming. But I'll figure out another set up.

I've gotten New wires. I've rebooted my computer. I've reinstalled the 3DS capture software. I've tried every port on my laptop and it refuses to detect my 3DS.

If nothing is wrong with the Card itself.... what else can I do? I've never been so frustrated and lost..

Please anyone suggestions???

Does your computer notice that it's plugged in? (Does it make the "usb connect" sound?) Do you see it in Device Manager? What kind of computer is this? What OS?

Windows 10. No it doesn’t make any sound when I plug it in. No it doesn’t appear in the device manger.

I was actively using it each week before this started too. Just one week it decided to stop.

Do the USB ports on your computer work?
Have you tested it on another computer?

Yes the ports work fine. I’ve tested all sorts of things in there. Mice. Controllers. Elgato capture cards all work.

No I haven’t had access to another computer.
But you told me it worked fine when I sent it too you. So I assume this is my laptops problem. But I will try to see if I can get to another computer to test it.

Ok Just got to test it out on another computer and no it still didn't work.

Didn't make any sound or acknowledgment I had plugged it in.

They allowed me to download and install the correct driver off the website here and still nothing.

I really am at a loss

Don't use a USB cable that's only meant for charging.
