Hello! This is my first time messaging on the board.
I've recently installed a capture board on my 3DS and did most things right, but now my 3DS won't boot up and I'm not sure why.
I have done the instructions for the install, the only things I messed up on are the few cables that I mistook as latches and the soldering on the ribbon cables leading to the capture board itself. I'm not sure if those are the reasons why my 3DS won't boot up or if it's another reason that I overlooked when installing it.
I was just wondering why it won't boot up and I'm just looking for an answer, as well as if there's any way I can get it repaired.
New 3DS LL Self-Install - Console not booting up
Re: New 3DS LL Self-Install - Console not booting up
It could be any of that. Cables not connected right, or bad soldering can make it fail to boot.
Send it in if you want, I'll take a look at it.

Sure! I'll send it to you as soon as I can.
I have a couple of questions: Is there anything I should make a note for? Where should I send my 3DS to?
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Re: New 3DS LL Self-Install - Console not booting up
Hello, just got back my 3DS. Everything works, except for the microphone. I was wondering if there's a fix for it or if there's no way of recovering it.
By that, I mean that when you speak into the 3DS, the game you have will either spin around or bob up or down.

Somewhat of a work around, I used some earbuds with a mic and worked! My bad, false alarm.

Hello! This is also my first time messaging on the board and i have a similar situation...
I've installed the capture board on my 3DS and did most things right, my 3DS boots up but the menu keeps moving around as if i were touching the thumbs stick and then the screens shut down and wont turn back on after. id have to take the memory card and battery out to repeat this process.
I did connect all the ribbon cables properly but the only things I messed up on is the soldering on the ribbon cable. I accidentally added many little soldering points on the main board where only 6 of them are supposed to be as the instructions show. I'm not sure if those are the reasons why my 3DS won't boot up or if it's another reason that I overlooked when installing it.
is there a fix to this? here is what is happening. sometimes the bottom screen just fades out and stops working.

also this was attempt 2 lol. messed up the 4 cable connectors on a different mother board and not sure if i can fix that one. it was a spare one i had but would still be nice if it was fixable.

Re: New 3DS LL Self-Install - Console not booting up
Messy soldering or damaged connectors could have caused that.
