It wasn’t choppy audio, it was an issue with the old rev where audio coming from certain Homebrew apps didn’t carry over. This is now fixed in the new board revision. The new board also allows the 3DS to be safely charged through the USB-C port as well.

Just an update on the "ETA". Boards aren't here but I got a shipping notice, they're expected to come in on Monday. Which is a holiday... so I'll assume that means 5/30.

I have the beta run rev, but I want to purchase the new one for the fixed audio. Still waiting on word back if I can send in my 3DS and have the boards switched out. At this point I’m just gonna assume it’s okay and buy another board install…

Perfect, just ordered one now. I'm a little concerned about working on my Samus Returns N3DSXL but it beats buying another one. Cheapest I've seen is $265 Canadian funbux

Just wanted to confirm that I shipped off my N3DSXL (and og DS) for their capture board installations earlier today. According to the tracking number, they should arrive by 5/31.

So I finally secured my order for the capture card, and will be sending it off Monday. My question is this: I have 3 different *New* 3DS/2DS models. Presumably the N2DS isn't compatible with the capture device, so I want to ship off the second of my two N3DS, but it's a Japanese region that's been hacked. Will the installation interfere at all with that? Or am I better off sending my US 3DS? It has no real content on it, so it's basically a "clean" system, but it's the bottom priority system imo.

System software is untouched, so no, it doesn’t matter and the installation won’t interfere with any of that.
