If I understand everything correctly, Merki buys capture cards wholesale from loopy and resells them to the end user.

these updated capture cards from merki appeared about a month ago, perhaps they have an agreement that they will be the first to start trading, but these are my guesses, I don’t know for sure)

I wanted to wait until some software issues were fixed. He decided to start selling them with the software still in "beta". That's all.

Saw the new board isn't a drop in replacement which is too bad, but are the modifications to the shell identical? I currently have 2 USB-C DS capture cards from from you, and would love to buy a couple of the new ones to get that sweet sweet digital audio output. I'm confident enough in my ability to disassemble and reassemble the DS, along with desoldering the old and soldering in the new flex, but every time I've tried to make a cutout on a shell for something, it's ended up looking pretty terrible. Thanks!

I heard about some Issues from people who bought through Merki. Do you know if the issue with not being able to use more than two of the new boards at a time has been resolved?

I've made some changes so it works better with multiple boards.

In my testing, it still gets iffy with more than 4. I need to look into it more.
