I personally added it as a "Non-Steam game" to launch it from the main menu launcher. I added Controller support as well to cc3dsfs for menus (at least, it worked when I tried using it), so it should work fine even with those.Dcubed wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2024 11:35 amAhh!!! That did it! Thank you so much!Lorenzooone wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2024 11:29 amI actually personally use it on a SteamDeck. No idea about Touch support like that... You can technically display the two screens on different monitors, though. Albeit it's not guaranteed to work.Dcubed wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2024 11:12 amHey there, has anyone had any success getting this software up and running on a Steam Deck? I can't seem to figure out a way to get its dependencies installed...
Would be nice to be able to use my Steam Deck as a more convinient means of hooking up my 3DS to my TV, rather than my Windows laptop (Bonus points if there's a way to also somehow get the touch screen to display on the Steam Deck's display. Ultra bonus points if someone figures out a way to get Input Redirection working with full touch screen support too!)
First things first, you need to download the cc3dsfs_linux_x86_64.zip file on the SteamDeck and extract it in a folder, by using Desktop mode.
Check then if it does work like that. You may need to enable its execution, by either checking the program's properties, or doing "chmod +x cc3dsfs".
Let me know if you succeed in doing that. We can go through configuring the rest once it executes normally.
Compilation on SteamDeck is probably possible, but I personally couldn't figure it out, since Valve removes a bunch of information from the headers, so I just use the pre-built binary myself.
Finally, I don't have to tear apart my living room setup when playing 3DS games on my TV!![]()
Just be careful, if you end up doing this, about the resolution cc3dsfs is launched as. Steam likes to reduce the maximum possible resolution, if it thinks it's too high... Personally, I had to change it from the "Property" menu in the main menu launcher to "native".
