green and magenta ghosting

Post by badelinestan » Wed Oct 02, 2024 3:48 am

whenever I press down on the D-pad or just randomly, the screen does this magenta and green ghosting "https://imgur.com/a/9DMYQcW" here.

Im curious why this happens as it seems slightly related to pressure yet wasn't happening for several days until now.

Hope u get a reply bro. I posted about this exact issue a week ago and haven't heard anything. Makes me think its a manufacturing issue... Hopefully its just a software bug that will get better with time.

Did you install the board yourself?

Since OP didn't respond, I can provide my experience. Yes, I did install it myself and I haven't ruled that out as the cause, but its worth noting that I've installed the same flex cable two times each on two separate motherboards (for what is effectively 4 separate installations) and still had this same issue. Another interesting bit is that it only seems to show up when I try to run a DS game. GBA games do not seem to be affected, at least when they're displayed on the top screen. Also something I didn't mention in my original post is that I don't see this ghosting on the actual DS screen, only in the capture software. I've seen similar threads on here about people seeing the ghosting on their console's screens, but that is NOT the case for me. Let me know if you have any ideas as to what could be the problem. After playing around with it for the past week, I'm fresh out of ideas. Thanks.
