Should I be concerned about the capture card when repairing a broken D-pad?
Says what it does in the title. I have a D-pad that isn't necessarily broken, but it's a bit finicky. Mainly when I try pressing left, it can sometimes take a second to register or register a double input, so I want to try and get it repaired but I don't know if I should because there's new stuff in the 3ds (ie, the capture card). Is the fact that there's a capture card installed going to be an issue? This is coming from someone who's pretty scared of trying to do this stuff myself so I want to try and get it repaired by someone else.

No. Make sure you let whoever repairs it know that they don't need to remove the right screw cover at the top since it's glued down.

Other than that, removing the d-pad board and replacing it is pretty simple. The capture card doesn't get in the way.

Reverse the steps after. Wiggling the cartridge slot in and out is tricky without removing the motherboard but it can be done.
