After getting loopy’s capture board installed, I did not like the fact that the plastic cradle that was included with the 3DS was no longer usable. So I set out and designed and manufactured one to accommodate the added height of the capture board being installed. There are multiple pictures in the gallery.

Oh cool, if it is just the depth that has changed there should not be a problem with the new back fitting in.

Hey Minimit, could you possibly design a stand version? Something with a solid base, but lifts the 3DS?

Exactly like that one, just a solid base. and a better cradle for the bottom of the 3DS. possibly wider. I dunno, you seem to know what you're doing.
