How to basically mount the Loopy Controller board to an old 3DS XL?

So I know how to solder it as I did it on my New 3ds XL but I am not sure where exactly to mount it on an old 3ds XL.

can anyone give me tips on where to put it, best way to add the hole for the female 6 pin connector and any things to look out for since I am installing the Optimize capture card after (as it covers multiple test points).
