3DS Capture Broken
3DS Capture Broken
Hi there,
So, I have a peculiar use case, and I was wondering if I can solve it from the place I'm at.
-If I have my 3DS plugged in via USB to my computer, and try to turn it on, it will not turn on
-If I plug in my 3DS via USB to my computer while it is turned on, it will not capture
What can be the cause of this? The only thing I think I changed over that period of time is the SD card I'm using.
Thanks!
Edit: I have tried removing and changing around the SD cards. No dice.

Re: 3DS Capture Broken
PS: this is with a Loopy card.
Re: 3DS Capture Broken
Weird. I've never heard of that before.
Is it new? Or have you had it a while? I don't think the SD card has anything to do with it. Try a different cable if you have one.

Re: 3DS Capture Broken
I've had it for a while, and it's been working for me for the last 4 years.
I am trying with a different cable. No dice. I'm going to see if I can test it with another machine with a USB cable to see if it's something to do with the way that my computer is recognizing the device.

Follow up to the last post: no dice
Loopy, is there any proprietary software besides the PC drivers which you have installed into the 3DS's system files to get this to work?

Re: 3DS Capture Broken
No. Nothing is installed on the 3DS itself.
Drivers usually aren't necessary either, it's only needed for Win 7 or earlier.

Re: 3DS Capture Broken
I plugged it in multiple times again and again, and it seems as if the issue seems to be with the board itself not working due to something being loose, for when I plugged it in and out repeated amounts of times, eventually, my computer recognized it as an "unknown device". However, still no capture.
Re: 3DS Capture Broken
The board's dead, Jim.

Are you giving her all she's got captain?
Re: 3DS Capture Broken
Ok. Well ... not much else I can do from over here, I'd need to take a look at it.
