Screens randomly turn off

Hello!

I've gotten a capture card for self installation about a year ago (I think? It's been a while already) and while I had some trouble in the beginning it sorted itself out.

Now I have a small problem that came up a few days ago:
When I play the screens randomly shut down. The game continues, just both screens are black for a moment or several seconds and then continue to work, just to black out again. The green 3D sign also turns black.
Sometimes it works fine for hours and then I suddenly have crazy screen outage problems.

Does anyone have any idea why this suddenly happened and how I can fix it?

No idea. I've never seen that before. I don't think it's related to the capture board, but you could try disconnecting it to see if that makes any difference. Try reconnecting the screen cables inside the 3DS?
